It’s the fourth quarter of 2024! How are your goals doing? We know we are behind on some!
Have you told yourself that once X happens, you will progress on your goals? I know I have said it! Once I get a house, then I will work on organizing my things. Once I get a new job, then I’ll work on skills development. Once I get a raise, then I’ll start saving in a 401k.
Do you see the error in this thinking? We wait for external events to happen before doing something within our control. In fact, life works the opposite way. When we take control of starting on the goals, we make progress (even small progress) toward them!
What does that mean for you today? Can you open the 401k at 1%? Put $50 in a savings account? Take a LinkedIn course? Write a draft of your will? Investigate a side gig?
